Art & Design Events, New York, Saturday, 14 March 2020

Most art events in the city have been cancelled for the next several weeks. The vast majority of non-profit and commercial galleries have announced their closings, except by appointment via text or telephone. A few will remain open, but with no events of any sort. Almost all museums are closed for at least two weeks, if not much longer.


Asia Week New York Open House Weekend 11-5 most participants will be open but  events have been cancelled. See http://www.asiaweekny.com/ for information about which dealers are still receiving visitors. Proceed very carefully, if you decide to attend.

A few spaces with receptions or events planned for today have not closed entirely. But check with the venue if you feel you must go.
Postmasters 54 Franklin St exhibition: Ruben Natal-San Miguel Women R Beautiful; Left is Right, Down is Up Joseph Beuys and Serkan Özkay reception cancelled, but the gallery will be open from noon-6
Pearl River Mart Gallery 395 Broadway exhibition open: Against All Odds: Asian Women Who Dared to be Great curated by Kelly Lan reception cancelled, curator/artist tour, and Q&A on social media (follow  on Instagram to catch it), and small meet-and-greets with curator Kelly Lan will be available throughout the run of the exhibition
