All art and design events in New York City have been cancelled, with no real predictions of when museums, galleries, showrooms will reopen. Over the next few postings of this blog, readers will be presented with possibilities for exploring the many digital resources available for sturdy and appreciation of the vast real of online visual history.
Some galleries have been opening online exhibitions, and this may keep them going through the crisis. Many of biggest galleries are participating in the virtual exposition Art Basel Hong Kong with what they are calling viewing rooms. These are open to VIPs today, and to the public on Saturday; some things never change.
